Lesly lives in New York City where she works as an artist, printer and recurrent educator. She holds an MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Lesly is an instructor at the International Center of Photography and owner of Fiber Ink Studio, a pigment printing and drum scanning studio. Her favorite work has involved a theater troop in central France, teaching photography in Cortona, Italy, buffing bronze sculptures as a technician in art conservation. Lesly’s main tools are paper, cameras and other people’s collections. In the past she could have been found digging through dusty archives and museum storage warehouses up and down the east coast. With her latest work she is at home plunged into an exploration of intimacy and the delicate nature of the relationships we try so desperately to preserve.
